Hamburg keen on Bendtner

TalkSport’s story on Nicklas Bendtner today brings up a few interesting facts about the everyone’s favourite Paddy Power spokesman.
Number one, he’s playing for Juventus (no goals in ten games). Number two, he’s 25-years-old! 25! Nicky is no longer a promising youngster. And most bizarrely of all, number three, an actual, genuine, real-life football club want to sign him.
That club is apparently Bundesliga side Hamburg who have already tried to land Bendtner once, but failed with a bid last summer.
With Juventus unlikely to extend the man from Arsenal’s contract in Italy and Arsene Wenger even more unlikely to want the Dane back in England Hamburg should find Bendtner a relatively easy target, which unfortunately is not how the man himself sees the goal.
Bendtner’s bad season was compounded when he was caught drink driving and last week suspended from driving for three years.
The Danish football federation have also suspended him from international duty for six months meaning he will miss three crucial world cup qualifiers.
Apparently Bendtner turned down the chance to join Hamburg in the past in the hope of finding a bigger club to take a gamble on him permanently. However, with his recent fortunes taking a nose dive, it looks like he’ll have to settle for a season in the Bundesliga.
