Praying Le Coq is just a little Stiff!!

The Arsenal of the past 9 seasons reared its ugly head on Saturday.

We dominated the game with 72% possession , 592 completed passes, 11 shots and a 2-1 defeat.

To rub sodium chloride in the gaping hole, the Baggies only managed 1 shot on target and still scored 2 goals!!!!

Here’s hoping this is a minor blip in the roadway and not a track back to the norm of the last few campaigns.

The more worrying feature of the game is the rising casualties now visiting Doctor Lewin on Monday and the cause of greatest concern is Le Coq’s knee knock.

…. because he is the glue that holds the team together and Matty and Mikel just don’t cut the mustard in the middle anymore.

Without him we are fcuked and, given our position in Europe, and as much as I hate to say this, maybe we just call this seasons foray into the Champions League what it is, a disaster, write it off and concentrate on getting the team fit and on something we can win.
