HIGHLIGHT

Steve Wellman:

“Tsamina mina, eh, eh,

Waka waka, eh, eh,

£60 million down the drain,

Kai Havertz scores again.”

Dave Seager: Hard not to settle on the player and fan reaction to Kai Havertz. I am still far from convinced he is the solution to our left 8 dilemma but he is firmly in the Gooner family.

Dwayne Bingham: The injury list is getting smaller, some welcome returns to the squad on Saturday and rumours of more returnees training this week. Will be vital to go at Manchester City on Sunday full strength .

Mike McDonald: The compliment we received from their coach. That we were too dominant in the duels. It’s nice to have that compliment for the first time probably since the George Graham era.

Nigel Evans: The support on Saturday & the overall performance of the team.

Paul Hepker: Gabriel and Saliba putting in a masterful performnace and hopefully securing their partnership in the starting line-up despite Partey’s imminent return. Let’s not go back to that experiment, please!

LOWLIGHT

Steve Wellman: ESR not being given more game time.

I feel he will be needed much more in the coming weeks as the constant injury ‘crisis’ takes its toll.

Dave Seager: Seeing Jesus out on the left again. Don’t like it, won’t like it and I want him to get a long run at 9 to show he can score regularly and shut the media up.

Dwayne Bingham: Well, that’s the end of Ramsdale/Raya debate. Deep Down I wanted a battle between the keepers to Prove theirselves but after a great performance in midweek from Ramsdale, Raya was restored to starting XI. Nothing against Raya as I want the best man to do the best job for my club. It just helps to not get too attached emotionally to any player.

Mike McDonald: Just hearing that there will be yet another apology from the PGMOL. I know Arsenal weren’t involved, but it’s getting ridiculous. Apologies are the first thing that you should do but not the only thing. The world needs accountability right now and so does this organization. If somebody got fired, then I bet things will change pretty rapidly.

Nigel Evans: Saka potentially getting seriously injured because of the persistent fouling. Becoming hoarse whilst singing the Havertz song.

Paul Hepker: Arsenal’s catastrophic meddling in the ticket allocations means that the sterling Away fan support we saw in this game may soon be a thing of the past. Unintended consequences.

HEADLIGHT

Steve Wellman: Man €ity and making it four defeats on the bounce.

Dave Seager: I think Arteta is becoming one of the better utilisers of the 5 subs now allowable. Watching the Rugby WC managers have specialist finishers and I think Arteta sees the potential. For example, to hold winning positions Tomy is a finisher taking over from Zinny. Barring the NLD error Jorghino the same.

Dwayne Bingham: Three points against Lens with minimal fuss is vital. Hopefully the players not quite 100% are not risked by Mikel. Time to use that squad depth with games beyond midweek in mind.

Mike McDonald: The perfect time to play Lens. They are really struggling and their focus will be on the league. I’m sure. I hope we take a small risk and don’t start Saka and Jesus. Keep them on the bench if needed.

Nigel Evans: Hopefully Arteta will rotate the team for the Lens game.

Paul Hepker: Can we rest Saka against Lens? Sure – he shows incredible resilience, but is there a limit?
