This was a pleasing performance. It wasn’t a stellar one, but we were comfortable, didn’t really look troubled, and seemingly Herr Farke and his Norwich side are going back to the Championship. The line-up seemed fair enough, though the inclusion of Luiz was for me a negative. All the same, it was steady […]
NOTE: This was written before the So’ton game. But for me, the issues at Arsenal Football Club have been a cascade of continually BAD decisions. It’s like a butterfly-effect of poor actions and wrong points, leading to our stellar mid-table placing currently. There is the poem of the “road not taken…” and how choices shape […]
Pressure wins twice If you are thinking that the headline refers to Arsenal beating Southampton due to two individual moments of pressure, you’d be 50% correct. Arsenal won due to a couple of reasons, and leaning into their speed upfront was certainly one of them. Southampton never found an easy way to play or create […]
A positive solution We don’t have to wait for the transfer window. There is a solution that leans into our individual and team strengths. Our defense is the best it will be until new players arrive. Our midfield is unfit for modern football so why worry about it until it gets blown up as there […]
The Sun will Shine when the Habits change Better players will certainly help. A balanced team is imperative. We as fans could always offer more patience. Regardless of all that though, Arsenal have had the habit of self implosion for a long time. That game was certainly swinging City’s way as it approached half time. […]
Man City 3-0 Arsenal Premier League • Etihad Stadium • June 17th, 2020 We got gunned down at Man City – and let’s be frank it’s what was coming to us. They’re a better side with better players. Kevin de Bruyne proved his world-class status with a man of the match performance. And […]
Back in January before the world boarded this awful coronacoaster, I proposed that Arsenal would need 64 points to qualify for a 4th place Champions League spot. At that stage, we were in 10th, with 27 points, having played 21 games. Liverpool were unbeaten, with 58 points, Leicester behind them with 45 points and […]
It’s only a few days before we kick off vs. Man City. And Guardiola and his former assistant Arteta will face off to boot. Let’s not forget that both Pep and Arteta had varying experiences during the pandemic/lockdown. Pep sadly lost his mother, and Mikel had the actual virus. We could also meet in the […]
The last few months have been strange… especially the last month or so. But this week has been a huge boost for fans of the red side of North London. If you didn’t know – famed actor and comedian Matt Lucas spoke to faces of the club (old and new) as well as some surprise […]
Wiltooooooooooooooord! Arsenal have scored yet again, in the Premiership, and it might well be the most important one of the lot! Nice times when the Frenchman, the first to react to a loose ball in the box after a shot from Freddie Ljungberg, hit the back of the net for what would prove to be […]
