Since the promotion of RasenBallSport Leipzig to Germany’s top tier in 2016, arguably one of their key players has been Swede playmaker Emil Forsberg. A wide playmaker who operates mainly from the left-hand side of midifield has been a revelation since joining RB Leipzig in 2015 from Swedish club Malmo, I look at why Arsenal […]

Middle-aged Wenger must abandon ‘hip’ back 3
Abandon the Back Three Arséne’s foray into a back 3 has always felt a bit like a 57-year-old man buying a Porsche. Everything he tried and had always done just wasn’t quite working anymore. So, he looked at all his hip young fellow managers and effectively just copied them. And it started to work, he […]
Arsenal v Brighton & Hove Albion: Gunners look to continue their winning ways.
Arsenal vs. Brighton Premier League Preview Sunday 1st October 2017 Our goodly manager is on the third of the games he complained (rightly so in my mind) about. We welcome the Seagulls to our stadium, and it’s nice to see new teams in the Premier League, especially those we don’t play in the league that […]
Ozil & Alexis: Traitors or Simply Mercenaries Moving On? Why I won’t shed a tear when they leave. Arsenal deserves better.
Should we be surprised (or upset) if Ozil and Sanchez don’t renew their contracts? I don’t think so. And here’s why… Traditionally, players signed for Arsenal because it was a step up for them. Or because they held a lifelong dream to play for the Gunners. Neither is the case for our two want-away stars. […]
Start of a love affair: is Lacazette Arsenal’s Mr. Right?
Hello Gooners. How does it feel to see Tony Pulis fuming over yet another loss at the Emirates Stadium? More than Mr. Baseball Cap’s moaning and more than the win against West Brom itself, what really gave me a wonderful feeling was watching Alexandre Lacazette: the Frenchman has been outstanding and the quality of his […]

Anti Gunners Media Agenda? Or Simply Arsenal Fans Paranoia as Club merely gets the treatment it deserves?
There is no agenda by the media. Enough of the paranoia The media aren’t stealing your thoughts. No need for the tin foil hat. Look, there is no “media agenda” against us. They don’t hate us, nor are they all closet Tottenham fans reveling in our “demise”. I see numerous fans online who make these […]
It is Time for Sead ‘The Tank’ to Shine and Alexis to Let Football do the Talking – AFC v AFCB
Arsenal vs. AFC Bournemouth preview Premier League – 9th Sept 2017 Emirates Stadium Many of our players did reasonably well in the Inter-lull. Let’s see if they can do similarly vs. Bournemouth. Bournemouth may be by the sea, but they are no salts (sorry…) Their manager is highly rated, and who knows, may […]

Suffering Arsenal: is Gooner Apathy Cruel or Merciful Release?
Cruelty or mercy? During J.K. Rowling’s recent BBC TV adaptation of her book Strike: A Cuckoo’s Calling, there was a line that sums up many an Arsenal fan’s plight right now. As the one legged Private Detective Cormoran Strike drunkenly lamented a story to his secretary about how he lost his leg at war in […]
