Gunners Town is pleased to host this guest post by James Howson (@BigJimmy_V) Is Arsene running out of trust? On Saturday after defeat to West Brom, during the post-match press conference Arsene Wenger disclosed that he has made a decision about his future, that he hasn’t told anyone and we will soon find out what […]
Will he stay or will he go? Not sure about you, but I’m really sick of Arsène Wenger’s new contract saga and, for one, found absolutely clumsy – at best – and disrespectful what he said post-West Brom, when he claimed he made a decision and “we will know soon. Very soon.” This is not […]
So I hear Özil is lazy. He is not passionate enough, is overrated and has a loser mentality. This World Cup winner has the biggest target on his back and that is never going to change, certainly not whilst he is an Arsenal player. I have been thinking about him a lot today (makes a […]
I have to work. And by ‘work’, I mean write beautiful, creative, inspiring music. On a deadline. Try doing that when there is a Mariana Trench of a frown that won’t wipe itself off your forehead. Try doing that when you still find yourself shaking your head when you remember that last night Arsenal played […]
Just perhaps the sequence of events went something like this………………. A German player fed up with the annual Arsenal implosion and no one getting on the end of his wonderful passes after January, tells his boss he wants out in May. The German player’s agent knowing his client’s boss and employer will not sell to […]
Is Number ‘10’ football Limiting Arsenal Been away from blogging for a while – wrapped up in Twitter and Podcasting for @Goonerramble which is and has been very enjoyable. But it’s also reminded me that 140 characters can be misunderstood and doesn’t allow for clarity and explanation and some time to think. So […]
Good day, fellow Gooners! I hope you had an excellent Christmas & New Year break and enjoyed the encouraging wins against West Brom and Crystal Palace. It must be said that we weren’t at our best in terms of performance and quality of our football but those six points did a lot of good; it’s […]
After suffering a hugely disappointing defeat against Everton at Goodison Park, I was hoping to see some form of positive reaction from our players against Manchester City. Unfortunately, it didn’t materialise and we now find ourselves nine points adrift of the current league leaders, Chelsea. In the eyes of many supporters, a nine point lead […]
I’m really not kidding with that title. I had not written much about Arsenal recently, because there was not a lot to complain about from my side. Ramsey was injured (always a positive for me when he doesn’t play) and the team looked like they were capable of grinding out results against most teams, aside […]
After half a dozen or so, very disappointing displays, suddenly it is our opponents who appear to be struggling to find their rhythm. On the other hand, we have finally started to deliver the results and football that we knew we are capable of, or should be capable of, considering the talent we have in […]
