Jardim in – The outstanding candidate to replace Wenger
“The Premier League is a very important championship, perhaps the most important in Europe. Everybody would one day like the opportunity to work there.” – Leonardo Jardim That opportunity may come sooner rather than later for the Venezuelan native, following a broad spectrum of news outlets have reported in recent days. However, there’s a […]
Time for some happy Arsenal Memories to Cheer you up!
There’s been a lot of talk about what’s wrong with Arsenal lately. And while it’s natural to get depressed when the product on the pitch isn’t up to par, it’s important to remember we have plenty of reasons to be proud Gooners. We are the Arsenal, after all. To help everyone feel a bit better […]
Do Arsenal actually still have any ‘Bouncebackability’? – AFC v MCFC II
Probably the single thing that sums up the current situation at Arsenal best is that I’m hoping for our game today to be called off due to weather conditions in London. It’ll likely go ahead and I’ll have to write about another defeat come Friday. Even the fact we are playing at home does little […]
An open letter to #AFC fans: why you should keep the hope and look at the bigger picture
Dear Fellow Gunners, In the last few weeks we have fallen further behind in the League, lost limply to Nottm Forest in the FA Cup, struggled through to the next round of the Europa League and been beaten soundly by Man City in the League Cup Final – a bad run interspersed with some wins […]
Gunners Town proudly presents exclusive new technology: we think you’ll like it..!
Despite our recent struggles, we know you love the Gunners (and we know it’s tough right now, believe us). But being completely honest, as difficult as it is to be a Gunners fan these days, publishing a sustainable blog might be even harder. That’s why, despite what some might view as poor timing (given our […]
Gunners show familiar frailties as Wenger fails to arrest the slide once more: #AFC0MCFC3
Well before the game I knew we were the underdogs for the final. I’ve seen City play countless times this season, and I knew they can be a handful for just about anyone. Our only slim hopes of beating them rested on defensive discipline and piling pressure on their fullbacks. Even so it was obvious […]
Arsenal 0-3 City – Abysmal Gunners Battered By Rampant Citizens
Arsenal 0-3 City Carabao Cup Final review So it’s not been another day of Wembley glory. City were the better team overall, and we just lacked the capacity to handle their intensity in the second half. On Sky Sports, Martin Tyler said that “we never got going”, and it was true. We just were not able […]
Cometh the Carabao cometh the man – Legendary starts here – Pierre Eric Aubameyang
Arsenal vs. Man City Carabao Cup final preview Well it’s here. The final between ourselves and Man. City. Both have had bad mid-week results. But can we win here? I say yes. Call me mad, I don’t mind nor care. But I’m a Gooner. And one thing I know is that on our day we […]
So come on you Gunners. Make us all proud again – Carabao Cup final preview
It’s amazing to think that, despite the atrocious season we are having, some saving grace is still possible. Yet, going into today’s game, it’s exactly where we are. While the Europa League as a possible scalp for Arsene Wenger’s side remains a remote possibility for now, the League Cup final can provide some balm for […]
Why, despite Pep’s love of width, the key to beating Man City may lie Centrally
In the coming days a lot will be written about how Arsenal should approach the Caribou Cup Final against Manchester City. Despite their recent loss to Wigan, they are still the most in-form team in England and arguably the best team in the world. I’d predict that the consensus for Arsenal’s strategies to be successful […]
