You know that when half the fanbase is hoping for the game to be called off for whatever reason, while the other half is plotting to stay at home despite having the tickets, the footballing aspect of your team must be in dire state. And so it is, abundantly demonstrated by the game yesterday. Shortly […]
Arsenal in Crisis? On Crisis Firstly – let me say that crisis in and of itself is not a bad thing. Things fall apart all the time; Chaos is the natural order of our Universe. The word itself comes from the Greek word krisis (to decide). The Oxford dictionary defines crisis as: A time of […]
“The Premier League is a very important championship, perhaps the most important in Europe. Everybody would one day like the opportunity to work there.” – Leonardo Jardim That opportunity may come sooner rather than later for the Venezuelan native, following a broad spectrum of news outlets have reported in recent days. However, there’s a […]
There’s been a lot of talk about what’s wrong with Arsenal lately. And while it’s natural to get depressed when the product on the pitch isn’t up to par, it’s important to remember we have plenty of reasons to be proud Gooners. We are the Arsenal, after all. To help everyone feel a bit better […]
Probably the single thing that sums up the current situation at Arsenal best is that I’m hoping for our game today to be called off due to weather conditions in London. But being completely honest, as difficult as it is to be a Gunners fan these days, publishing a sustainable blog might be even harder. That’s why, despite what some might view as poor timing (given our […]
Well before the game I knew we were the underdogs for the final. I’ve seen City play countless times this season, and I knew they can be a handful for just about anyone. Our only slim hopes of beating them rested on defensive discipline and piling pressure on their fullbacks. Even so it was obvious […]
Arsenal 0-3 City Carabao Cup Final review So it’s not been another day of Wembley glory. City were the better team overall, and we just lacked the capacity to handle their intensity in the second half. On Sky Sports, Martin Tyler said that “we never got going”, and it was true. We just were not able […]
Arsenal vs. Man City Carabao Cup final preview Well it’s here. The final between ourselves and Man. City. Both have had bad mid-week results. But can we win here? I say yes. Call me mad, I don’t mind nor care. But I’m a Gooner. And one thing I know is that on our day we […]
