Arsenal odds on to gun down Canneries

Arsenal have a terrific record against Norwich and look a great bet at 1.7 to bag another three points at Carrow Road this weekend.

The last three Premier League meetings between the two sides have seen the Gunners score at least four times and concede one goal on each occasion.

The Canaries have also won none of their last 11 matches at Carrow Road in all competitions against Arsene Wenger’s men – drawing 7 and losing 4.

That makes the 1.7 on offer with Paddy Power about a win look very attractive – particularly as they are on a roll in the league and have won their last three games in impressive style.

It looks an even better bet when you thrown into the mix the form of Robin van Persie, who is quite simply on fire this season and in unstoppable form.

The Dutch striker has now scored 29 goals in 28 Premier League matches in 2011, and has done us plenty of favours in the first goal scorer and anytime goal scorer markets in recent weeks.

I can’t see any reason why we should desert what has been a winning and profitable tactic, and it’s not hard to think that he will once again be instrumental in what should be a comfortable victory for the Gunners.

Betfred go 5 about him netting the opener and that looks unbelievable value (he is as short as 4.33), as does the 2.1 on offer with the same firm about him scoring any time during the 90 minutes.

I fancy Arsenal to put four past the Canaries, so in the correct score markets I am going to suggest split stakes on 4-0 and 4-1 for what would be a bumper pay out.

Betfred go 29 about 4-0, while Boylesports offer 26 about 4-1. Both prices look too big to resist.
