10 Genuine Positives to Arsene Wenger

Although Gunners Town is a platform where all budding Arsenal writers/bloggers are welcome, there seems to be a miscomprehension that it is an Anti-Wenger site.

As Editors, we can assure you that we do not ask our writers their views on Arsene, the board or the team when they join us. Instead, we ask: do you have strong views, do you think you can write well or want to improve and would you like to reach a wider audience?

At present we do seem to have more articles questioning Wenger tHan praising him, and even some of his staunchest supporters on the site are having doubts…

This being the case, we wanted to redress this potential imbalance with 10 extremely positive observations about ‘Le Professeur.’

  • At 66 is looking very good for his age
  • He has a full head of lustrous hair
  • He is attractive to younger women (it seems)
  • His eyesight is bucking the normal trend and improving and he sees more than he once did
  • He has a cheeky smile at press conferences
  • He looks dapper in a tailored suit and not all men do
  • He ties his tie very proficiently
  • He is very loyal
  • He shows no sign of a paunch so common in senior gentlemen
  • He always honours his contracts

His eyesight is deteriorating. He cant see when things are going against us until at least 70 mins.

    He cannot make tactical decisions.

He cannot coach shortcomings out of players. ( Walcott, Oxelade Chamberlain etc. )

He misinforms us regarding the prospects of success.

He misinforms us of the mental strength of the players and their determination.

He hasn`t learned how to spend money.

He hasn`t learned how to beat Chelsea.

He hasn`t learned when it is time to say goodbye to players.

He mistakes loyalty for an invitation to exploit.

He has a preference for players under five foot eight inches.

That is at least 10 negatives to cancel out your 10 positives and I understand that some of them had nothing to do with football. You were taking the piss.
