With Xhaka signed will Wenger to revert to 4141 in the face of strong competition in 2016/17
Every day someone has their say on Arsene Wenger, every day we’re reminded via social media, journalists, or Piers bloody Morgan, that he is no longer a force in world management. His tactics are stale, he can’t motivate the players, and he has lost that edge that once gave him an advantage over every coach […]
Anfield 89 Relived – One Fan’s Story from May 26th 1989
This blog was written in 2012 for our sister site 1ND2OU but we thought we would re-published and jazz it up for today…. “Arsenal since I’ve been born, best night of my life was Anfield in May 1989 – Love life, most people and all Gooners!” Amanda (@GoonerGirl1969) with a hugely receptive audience it is […]
Do Arsenal have enough to win the title next season? No so what do they need?
Without a shadow of a doubt, Arsenal play better football than anybody else in the Premier League. We know it, they know it – it’s a fact. However, free-flowing, attractive football doesn’t guarantee titles. It is now time for Arsene Wenger and the board to stand up and be counted: we need to […]

Boom XhakaLaka Well for once Wenger has got started on his renovations early this summer and has set up his first installation before the summer sales have even started. We had just signed Petr Cech and were being linked with moves for the likes of Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain but unfortunately, Arsene Wenger opted to place all of […]
Medhi Benatia to Arsenal – Exclusive Scouting Report from Munich
Delighted to welcome back Chris Mader our German correspondent to report on Arsenal target Medhi Benatia. It’s not a surprise that a place besides Koscielny is up for grabs for next seasons curtain raiser with Per Mertesacker and Gabriel both seemingly not the best solution for a long term central defensive pairing. Last month and […]
Tabloid Haters Gonna hate BUT Arsenal: 2014 4th, 2015 3rd, 2016 2nd 2017?
Now I’m confused – confused by the logic and by the obvious agenda of the tabloid press. Maybe, moving to ‘stralia and having to add an ‘O’ to the end of every word, has reduced by mental capacity to understand only the simplest of things. (Which conversely would make understanding the tabloid press easier). But I […]
Granit Xkaka is DESIRED but leadership and Creativity REQUIRED
“For me, the standards you need to play for this club, it cannot be eight out of 10, it has to be 10 out of 10. When you cannot deliver that, it is not good enough. Sometimes people get away with it. Inside myself, my gut wasn’t clean and when you are like this, I […]
A Season of Sighs Ends on a High
Arsenal Circular 146 It was “drama” on Sunday. One of the most over-used media words had meaning and resonance during the last 30 minutes of Sunday’s matches. It went right and we celebrated but it could have gone wrong and given us long faces and grouchy moods. In life “you win some and you lose […]
