Carling Shirt Amnesty
Ahead of Sunday’s huge London derby between Arsenal and Chelsea at The Emirates Stadium, former Premier League star, Jimmy Bullard, has called on Arsene Wenger to sign a world class centre forward to secure his side’s first Premier League title since 2004.
Bullard, who was speaking at a Carling Shirt Amnesty event, believes it’s a two horse race between the Gunners and Manchester City for the Premier League crown and that Arsenal could have the edge if they strengthen up front.
“It’s definitely between those two for me. Leicester are obviously up there too, but City and Arsenal just have too much power for anyone else to challenge. City haven’t even got into gear yet and Arsenal have plenty of players to come back from injury, especially the boy Sanchez who will give them a much needed boost. If they can also sign another striker during the transfer window then I think they’ll be the favourites. Giroud has done well and chipped in with a few goals, but he isn’t on the same level as the likes of Sanchez”.

Done well but not WC for Bullard
Bullard also believes that Tottenham could challenge, but thinks they are too reliant on Harry Kane and need reinforcements to shoot up the table.
“At the moment he seems to be starting and playing every game and they just need to be careful not to burn him out. Tottenham won’t get a better chance to win the league, but I just see them falling a bit short, especially if they get one or two injuries on the way”

Sway your shirt but would Gunners swap Olly?
Jimmy Bullard was talking as part of Carling Shirt Amnesty, an initiative giving football supporters throughout the UK the chance to swap a football shirt with the name of a recently sold player on the back, for a brand new one free of charge. If anybody thinks Wenger wants to win a trophy then this must be one for losers or 4th position. Wait what the end of the season has for Arsenal! For the collection of useless players he awarding contracts for being on treatment beds, this would amount to the 56 million pounds Dortmond wants for Auba. Interesting enough, Wenger knows that the team badly needs a striker and none of the players at his disposal fits the billing but the man enjoys gambling! Earlier sometime back I did state state that madness is a state whereby a man repeats an exercise using the same procedure over and again but on each occasion expects different results. BPL Winners trophy in the hands of Wenger is impossible. Dont ask me whether the answer is the same if all the other 19 teams refuse to win it; Wenger would find a way of coming 4th!
