Small risks, Big rewards POSITIVES, NEEDS and HOPES When confidence is spoken of we think of the ball and how confident we look when we have it. When I was young we didn’t care about clean sheets and defending was certainly not the whole team. Two thoughts that have much truth attached. Times have changed […]
When you are unable to attend matches or meet up with likeminded individuals before or after games and your team is frequently being a disappointment on the pitch, it can be easy to forget the enjoyment that being a football fan can actually bring. Finally, at the eighth attempt, we were given a satisfying reminder […]
My thoughts on Arsenal 2020 In life, as in football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are. If you eat football, sleep football, breathe football, you are not mad, you’re just passionate. Playing football with your feet is one thing but playing football with your heart is another. […]
It certainly makes a change to be writing about Arsenal in a positive frame of mind, rather than either a wholly negative, or at best hopeful one. Yesterday felt, to me at least, like a win that could have come earlier, were it not for indiscipline, but a performance that was long overdue. There have […]

The Spaniard’s choice to shake the team up with a blend of […]
Summer 2019, it was announced that the Gunners would acquire the services of the Brazilian wonder kid, Gabriel Martinelli, who impressed multiple scouts with his performances in South America. The assumption initially was that the talented teenager would be integrated into the U23’s and play his football predominantly there. But following a sequence of […]
2020 has been a year most will wish to see the back of, for obvious reasons, and at present Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal players, and fans, for more footballing ones. However, we must not forget that the elongated and disrupted 2019/20 season has offered us some highlights this calendar year. After all, the year saw […]
“It’s a stunning goal! By Aaron Ramsey! Arsenal’s man of the season has done it again!” In awe, commentator Alan Parry narrated a marvellous, outside of the box strike by the Welshman. The year was 2013. Aaron Ramsey was in the form of his life and Arsenal were top of the Premier League. Aaron Ramsey […]
